

ABOUT ALEX
Alex was born in Stamford, CT, USA to a family of journalists, publishers and diplomats. He grew up in Paris and in the South of France, near Cannes and became passionately interested in film and music at a very early age.
He began his career working as an Assistant Director on a string of national TV ads. After several other jobs in the field of corporate advertising, he moved on to filming and directing music videos.
He has worked with an extremely wide range of musicians including Van Morrison, Peggy and Pete Seeger, the London Symphonic Orchestra, the Pretenders and Joe Jackson.
Alex has a particular interest in documentaries, featuring chiefly the arts, biographies, history and current affairs.
Other credits include directing the trailer for the Tony Award winning musical The Drowsy Chaperone for its West End debut. He also directed a promo for the British version of the Broadway classic, Hairspray, starring Michael Ball.
Alex is a highly skilled cameraman, having shot videos for Virgin Atlantic, Barclays, Natwest and country music artist Peggy Seeger, to name but a few. His photographic work is available at leading international stock agencies.
Alex’s extra-curricular interests include mountaineering, travel and cross country motoring. In 2009 he completed the charity London to Ulan Bator Mongol Rally. He is a keen guitarist and composer. Bilingual in French and English, he is currently learning Italian and Greek.
Alex is a member of the Directors UK, Bectu, the Guild of Television Camera Professionals and holds British, and French nationality. He holds a full, clean UK driving license and is based just outside London.
